Raines, Gretchen (Beuscher) Gretchen (Beuscher) Raines, 58, Green Bay, died Nov. 23, 2005, at a local hospital. She was born Dec. 4, 1946, to the late Professors Jacob H. and Rosa (Muench) Beuscher. Gretchen graduated from the University of Wisconsin- Madison in 1973 with a bachelor's degree in history and political science. She spent over 20 years working with children as a visual therapist, working many years in the offices of Dr. Marilyn Heinke (Brenne) in Manitowoc and Seymour. She also worked in the offices of Dr. Melanie Reimer in Green Bay and more recently, at the Fox Valley Thrift Shop. Gretchen particularly enjoyed her work with children and gardening.

She is survived by her son, Edgar J. Raines, Alexandria, Va.; one brother, Willam J. Beuscher, Everett, Wash.; cousins, Hugh J. (Colleen) Beuscher, Wheaton, Ill.; Susan (Robert) Koester, Chicago; Kate Moyle, San Jose, Calif.; special friend, Robert Oldenburg, De Pere.

Preceded in death by her parents and grandparents.

Friends may call at WEST MASON MALCORE Funeral Home, 1530 West Mason Street, from 9:30 a.m. Saturday until the time of the memorial service. Memorial services Saturday 11 a.m. at the funeral home by Deacon Bob Nooker. Burial in Forest Hills Cemetery, Madison.

In lieu of other expressions of sympathy a memorial fund has been established at the funeral home in her memory.
